Referring clinician

When your patient has a radiological examination, a reporting clinician reviews the imaging and reports their findings via Cris. Results are typically made available, within the normal time frames, via PACS for hospital referrers and EDI or letter for external referrers.

However, if a reporting clinician makes a finding which requires prompt action, they can flag the report and Communicator will send the results to you via email immediately.

This is to ensure that radiology imaging results are promptly communicated and addressed, as recommended by the National Patient Safety Association (NPSA) Safe Practice Notice 16.
