Examination settings for vetting

  • Some orders / requests require justification by a clinician before they can be performed. You can set the justification requirement at modality level.
  • Some orders / requests require vetting by a clinician before they can be performed. You can set the vetting requirement at exam and modality level.

You can set a modality so that all its exams require justification (based on IR(ME)R regulations).

  1. Click Tables Setup.

  2. Select System > Normal Tables > CRISMODL.
  3. Click to select a modality.
  4. Enter "Y" in the Requires Justify field.
  5. Click the Save button.
  6. Click the Refresh Table button.

You cannot configure individual exams to require justification - the setting is applied at modality level so that all those exams require justification (based on IR(ME)R regulations).

You can set a modality so that all its exams require vetting.

  1. Click Tables Setup.

  2. Select Other > Appointments > Exams Per Hospital.
  3. Click the Autofill tab.
  4. Select the Fill tickbox for each modality you want to include.
  5. Select the Vet tickbox for each modality you want to include.
  6. Click the Auto Fill button.
  7. Click the Save button.
  8. Click the Refresh Table button.

You can set an individual examination (procedure) so that it requires vetting.

  1. Click Tables Setup.

  2. Select Other > Appointments > Exams Per Hospital.
  3. Enter the exam code in the Exam field.
  4. Select the Requires Vetting button.
  5. Click the Save button.
  6. Click the Refresh Table button.

Note:

Any exam or modality that is not marked as Requires Vetting will be automatically marked as vetted, and given the status Vetting Not Required (VN).
