Episodes of care

This information is for NIMIS sites only: Radiology events must be associated with an episode of care (account). When you create an event, you must choose the correct episode. You can restrict episodes, rename episodes, and move events between episodes.

  1. Open the patient record.
  2. Click the New Event button.

    3. The Event Details screen opens.

  3. Double-click or press F4 with your cursor in the Episode Number field.

    4. The Select an Episode window opens.

  4. Select an episode.
  5. Click the OK button.

  6. Complete all required request details. See Enter a paper request.

Note:

The Lock icon in core Cris indicates a restricted episode.

If you try to access a restricted episode, for example, via Order Comms, you must 'break glass' and provide a reason.

  1. Open the patient record.
  2. Select the Episodes tab.
  3. Select an episode.
  4. Click the Edit button.
  5. Enter a description.
  6. Click the Save button.

  5. Deselect the Consent button.
  6. Click the Save button.

  3. Click to open the episode folder.
  4. Select an event.
  5. Click the Move button.
  6. Select the destination episode.
  7. Click the Save button.
